FAQ ~ General Questions
Book Cover Design- Ebooks, Paperbacks, Hardcovers, Dust Jackets, Series Covers & Audiobooks. Add-on Products- Advertising & Social Media Graphics (print or digital ads, web banners, etc.), Digital Mockups (covers designed to look like real, only digitally), Printed Promotions (bookmarks,flyers etc.) & Interior Graphics (such as cover pages etc.)
Ebooks are send as JPG & PNG. Full wraps (paperback, hardcover or dust jackets) are sent as PDF. Audiobooks are sent as JPG & PNG. Graphics will be JPG/PNG/PDF depending on what is ordered. If you need other files, please inquire.
Customer photos may be included; please inquire for further information. We do not offer illustrated covers or custom photos at this time. We can source original photos; see Premium Custom Cover.

You can order now & we will design your cover with a placeholder title/pen name once payment is received. You will have 6 months to provide your title/pen name for your final cover. After 6 months we reserve the right to charge an alteration fee for work done.

Yes! Most covers can be continued as a series. Please use the Series Inquiry Form found here.
Yes, certainly! Once the cover is finalized & payment is received in full, all watermarks are removed.
We are not a publishing service. We do provide Print Ready PDF covers for Paperback, Hardback, Dust Jackets, or Audiobooks, which you can submit to your publisher of choice. We also provide upload ready digital files for your Ebook.
Premade/Economy Custom Covers include a Standard Stock Photo License of up to 500, 000 copies. Should you exceed that amount (good news :) ) you will need to purchase an Extended License. Please contact & we will provide the information needed. Premium Custom Covers will include varying terms depending which stock photos & fonts are used in the cover. You will be informed of license terms & can choose which suit your publishing needs.
Premade Covers are paid in full at time of purchase. Custom Covers require a 50% deposit at time of purchase & remainder is due prior to final files being received.
No, we don’t offer discounts for cover design services. We do offer a 10% discount for each cover in a series (this is based off of the original cover cost)
Yes. Ebooks & Printed books should include the following: “Cover Design by: ©(CURRENT YEAR) storywrap.ca”, placed on the copyright page, or alternatively on the cover, whichever is suitable.

No, all covers are sold flattened because of stock photo & font licensing limitations.
No. All covers remain in our copyright. You are purchasing a “Royalty Free License” to use our design for an Unlimited number of copies. (subject to any stock photo limitations) You may not alter/change/edit the design. Should you need alterations please contact us with your needs.
We own & retain all copyrights on all covers/designs provide to you. When you purchase a cover/design, you receive the right to use that cover as a Book Cover, but do not own any copyright to that cover/design. This contract is subject to our terms & conditions & the license agreement of all photos/fonts/other materials used in the cover.
FAQ ~ Premade Covers
All Storywrap covers are the same high quality. The difference is in the content used & the ability to have more input in the design process, not in the quality of your cover.
Minor changes are possible; major ones are not. You should contact us prior to purchasing the cover & we’ll be able to tell you what can be changed/not changed. You can also consider an Economy Custom Cover if you have a large change you need.
Every cover is an original design & sold once. Your cover is totally exclusive to you.
If you want to, yes. Please specify this when you purchase the cover & if there is some reason you can not use it, we’ll let you know.
No, swaps are not available, nor returns. Please be certain of your choice before purchasing.
Premade covers will have text revised once. If you need more revisions, we will do them, but there is a fee per revision. Please inquire if this is needed.
If the Premade is part of a series, you will need to pay for the series in full. It is up to you whether you use one or all of the covers. The will not be sold to anyone else once you have purchased them & may not be resold by the purchaser due to copyright limitations.
Yes, definitely. The order of the books is entirely up to you. We will adjust the book order when replacing relevant information.
FAQ- Custom Covers
We strive to complete your Custom Cover within 6 weeks from date of deposit received. Covers are designed on a first come/first serve basis. There are times when it may take longer. We will advise you if this is the case.

Yes, we know that some customers have need for Custom Services, but are working on a budget. If a Premade Cover is not suiting your needs, please order an Economy Custom Cover.
In many cases, this is possible, but will depend on the source of the images you provide & appropriate licenseing. If you have a photo you would like used, please include this information when either or ordering your Custom Cover or making a Custom Cover Inquiry.
Yes, until the final revision. You can’t after the final cover has been finalized, except for an additional alteration fee.
There is a design deposit fee included in your Custom Cover deposit which is non-refundable. (see terms of service). Should you decide to cancel, this fee will not be refunded. Cancellations will only be accepted after the first proof. Once the first proof is accepted, no refunds will be issued. Should you cancel, the concept/design remains ©storywrap.ca & may not be copied/used in any way for/by another cover design(er), including yourself, as per our terms of service/licensing.
We include 3 revisions with every Custom Cover purchase. Further revisions are available for a fee.
No, we can’t read each manuscript prior to designing each cover. Please include as much information in your overview as you can & we will be consulting with you to be sure the cover will suit your needs.
Please be sure to provide information needed prior to your final Custom Cover Revision. After your cover is finalized, any additional changes will be subject to an alteration fee, unless it is our mistake.
